Dataharvest 2014 has ended

Investigative journalists, data specialists and coding whiz kids will once again gather in Brussels this year for the fourth edition of Journalismfund.eu’s Dataharvest Conference. Dataharvest+ takes place on Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday morning 11 May 2014.

A German initiative is setting up a webbased generator to help journalist and others to send letters to their secret service in order to ask them, which data they hold about the individual. Because – as PGP-creator Phil Zimmermann put it: The most dangerous secret service is the one, that can knock on your door and haul you to prison. In a concise lecture, Albrecht Ude, journalist and resarcher based in Berlin, will tell about this project.
