Dataharvest 2014 has ended

Investigative journalists, data specialists and coding whiz kids will once again gather in Brussels this year for the fourth edition of Journalismfund.eu’s Dataharvest Conference. Dataharvest+ takes place on Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday morning 11 May 2014.

This year's winner of the European Press Prize, the Zero CTRL documentation from Norway: Probably for the first time, two journalists have physically tested the data security in an entire country. In the article series "Null CTRL" (“Zero CTRL”) Dagbladet shows very concrete and real examples of how ignorance and carelessness online affects individuals, businesses and critical infrastructure in Norway. The journalists have warned about 2500 Norwegian control systems connected to the Internet, with minimal or no security. The series combines tabloid story telling with technical investigative journalism.
