Investigative journalists, data specialists and coding whiz kids will once again gather in Brussels this year for the fourth edition of Journalismfund.eu’s Dataharvest Conference. Dataharvest+ takes place on Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday morning 11 May 2014.

This year the Dataharvest works with fresh data about EU-tenders. All public spending in the EU and EFTA countries has to go through public tenders. In this workshop Mindaugis Paulavicius from the European Commission team behind the TED database will share with us info about what data are available, how they are structured. Friedrich Lindenberg is a software developer and has compiled TED data in formats that are more easily accessible to journalists and can translate between data and journo-language.
